1. Subject: Humboldt Bay Harbor, Recreation and Conservation Districtís Application to the Coastal Conservancy to Develop Humboldt Bay Management Plan (Supervisor Dixon)

Recommendation: Approve letter of support.

2. Subject: Humboldt Women for Shelter Honors (Supervisor Woolley)

Recommendation: Issue certificates of recognition.

3. Subject: Approval of the Board Orders from the Meeting of May 2, 2000

Recommendation: Approve the Board Orders.

Community Development Services

4. Subject: Contract with Winzler & Kelly for a Moto-Cross Siting Study

Recommendation: Authorize Chair to sign contract.

Recommendation: Support task force formation to investigate methamphetamine abuse.

Employment Training

8. Subject: Job Training Partnership Act Closeout Plan

Recommendation: Approve the submittal of the closeout plan.

Mental Health

9. Subject: Fiscal Year 1999-2000 Performance Contract

Recommendation: Approve contract and related assurances with State Dept. of Mental Health.

Probation

10. Subject: Authorizing Chief Probation Officer to Sign and Approve Proposal to Office of Criminal Justice Planning for Purpose of Establishing a Juvenile Drug Court Program

Recommendation: Grant authorization by adopting Resolution No. 2000-__.

Public Health

11. Subject: Purchase of Fixed Assets for Business and Accounting Services

Recommendation: Approve purchase of computer system and laser printer.

18. Subject: Request to Establish Fixed-Asset Account for Purchase of Two Light Bars

Recommendation: Approve request and associated transfer of $2,750.

19. Subject: Agreement with Six Rivers National Forest for Campground Patrol

Recommendation: Approve agreement.

20. Subject: Agreement to Reimburse County for Law Enforcement Services

Recommendation: Approve agreement with the City of Trinidad.

21. Subject: Request to Establish Fixed-Asset Account for Purchase of FAX Machine

Recommendation: Approve request.

22. Subject: Letters of Support for Assembly Bill 1724 (Suspected Child Abuse Cases)

Recommendation: Retroactively approve the sending of letters of support to Governor Davis and Assembly member Carole Migden.

Treasurer-Tax Collector

23. Subject: Schools Combined Request for TRANS Issuance

Recommendation: Notify in writing the Eureka City Unified School District, Bridgeville elementary School District, Northern Humboldt Union High School District, and Redwoods community college District, and their bond attorneys, Orrick, Herrington and Sutcliffe that the board of supervisors will not act to authorize the above-named districts to issue Tax and Revenue Anticipation Notes.

1. Subject: Proclamation--Humboldt Women for Shelter Honors Women (Supervisor Woolley)

Recommendation: Adopt proclamation.

Public Works

1. Subject: Change Orders Over $10,000 on Public Works Projects (if required)

Recommendation: Approve change orders as recommended by Public Works.

2. Subject: Advertisement or Award of Public Works Projects (if required)

Recommendation: Take action as required (if necessary).

* 3. Subject: Funds to Cover Cost of Key Duplication and Distribution for South Spit Gate

Recommendation: Transfer $6,000 from Contingency Fund, establish interest-bearing trust fund for South spit key deposits, and authorize use of interest earned on key deposits for continued management of the South Spit.

Auditor-Controller

4. Subject: 1998-1999 Audit Report

Recommendation: Receive and file the audit report of Bartig, Basler and Ray, CPAís regarding the financial statements of the county of Humboldt for the fiscal year ended June 30, 1999.
