Public Works

 

17. Subject: Old Arcata Road/Myrtle Avenue Widening and Rehabilitation Project

Recommendation: Certify that submitted Final Environmental Impact Report (FEIR) for completion of the project was prepared in conformance with California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) guidelines. Note that Board has read and considered information contained in FEIR and have considered all comments and information received in writing pertaining to project. Decide to proceed with the project, and direct the Department of Public Works (DPW) to carry out the remaining required tasks including right-of-way acquisition and final design and construction of the project. Direct DPW to file a Notice of Determination with the County Clerk and the State Office of Planning and Research.

 

18. Subject: Taxiway Overlay and Ramp Extension; County Project Nos. 911896 and 911901

Recommendation: Approve Change Order No. 2, and accept completed contract with W. Jaxon Baker, Inc., Contractor.

 

19. Subject: Contract Change Order No. 2 ($120,875); Elk River Road Project RPL-5904

Recommendation: Approve change order.

Recommendation: Change proposed revisions as appropriate based on discussion among Board members and input received from the public. Direct the Departments of Public Works and Community Development Services to hold a public meeting on November 12, 2001, in the evening at the Wharfinger building, if available. Transfer $800 from the Contingency Fund to fund the meeting.

4. Subject: Ordinance Amending Sections 261.5-1, 261.5-2, 261.5-4, 261.5-6, 261.5-7, 261.5-12, 261.5-14, and 261.5-15 of Chapter .5 of Division 6 of Title II of the Humboldt County Code, Relating to the Regulation of Parking on County Parking Lots

Recommendation: Introduce ordinance, and schedule for adoption on November 6, 2001.
