8.                   Approval of Renewal of Agreement with Hinderliter for Sales Tax Audit Services

RECOMMENDATION: That the Board of Supervisors approve a new three-year agreement with Hinderliter, deLlamas & Associates (HdL) for sales tax audit services, to expire June 30, 2010; Authorize the Chair of the Board to sign the agreement; and adopt Resolution No. ____ authorizing examination of sales and use tax records.

RECOMMENDATION: That the Board of Supervisors adopt Resolution No.___ establishing a revolving petty cash fund for the Mental Health Branch/Administration and Programs, Budget Unit #424, Fund 1170, as follows: Mental Health Branch Administration and Programs 1170-424-2123 Special Departmental Expense -- $1200.00; Rescind previous Board Orders that established three petty cash funds for use by the Mental Health Branch, the Mental Health Branch Sempervirens/Psychiatric Emergency Services (SC/PES) Unit, and the Mental Health Branch Foster Family Agency.

RECOMMENDATION: That the Board of Supervisors approve and sign the attached agreement with the Humboldt County Chapter of the Red Cross for the development and implementation of Community and Business Emergency Preparedness trainings.

11.               Temporary Salary Increase for Librarian II, Debra Hill

RECOMMENDATION: That the Board of Supervisors approve a temporary salary increase of 20 ranges for Librarian II, Debra Hill, Beginning June 17, 2007 and continuing until the vacant Library Division Manager position is filled or September 22, 2007 whichever occurs first, pursuant to Section 7 of the Humboldt County Salary Resolution.

12.               Revised Title Change for the Class of Director of Risk Management - Deputy CAO

RECOMMENDATION: That the Board of Supervisors adopt the title change and revised class description for the class of Director of Risk Management-Deputy CAO (salary range 482, class 0700) to Risk manager (salary range 482, class 0700) effective the beginning of the biweekly pay period following approval.

13.               Authorize the sole source purchase of a Nissan Frontier 4x4 to be used by Clam Beach Park caretaker.

RECOMMENDATION: Authorize the sole source purchase of a Nissan Frontier 4x4 crew cab truck from McCrea Nissan by Motor Pool to be assigned to the Parks Division for use at Clam Beach County Park.

Approve the attached appropriation transfer of $25,000 to provide funding for the purchase.
