2.                   Waiver of 960 Hour Limit for Extra Help Employee Norma Lorenzo

RECOMMENDATION: That the Board of Supervisors approve the waiver of 960 hour limit for extra help employee, Norma Lorenzo, up to 1920 hours, pursuant to Section 7 of the Humboldt County Salary Resolution.

3.                   Request for Extension of Extra - Help Hours for Budget Unit 1170-424-Mental Health Branch Administration

RECOMMENDATION: That the Board of Supervisors approve the extensions of extra-help hours to the maximum of 1460 hours for Budget Unit 1170-424 pursuant to section 7 of the Humboldt County Resolution effective immediately for the following people:1.Dawn Hickox, Office Assistant 2. 4.                   Extension of Extra Help Hours Past the 960 Hour Limit

RECOMMENDATION: That the Board of Supervisors approve the extension of extra help hours for Nathan Kees, Juvenile Corrections Officer and Marie Johnson, Correctional Cook, to 1440 hours through June 30, 20087, per Section 7 of the Humboldt County Salary Resolution.

Public Works

5.                   Approval of Resolution Extending the Existence of a Local Emergency and Approval of Resolution Requesting the Governor to Proclaim a State of Emergency and to Request a Presidential Declaration

RECOMMENDATION: That the Board of Supervisors adopt Resolution No. _____ extending the existence of a local emergency as a result of the emergency closure of Martins Ferry Bridge; Adopt Resolution No. ___ requesting the Governor proclaim a state and requesting the Governor to forward to the president for a presidential declaration; Direct staff to take all necessary steps to implement these resolutions.

6.                   Extension of Extra Help Hours for Fedelina Hernandez

RECOMMENDATION: That the Board of Supervisors extend Fedelina Hernandez's extra help employment hours from 1000 hours to a maximum of 1960 hours for fiscal year 2007-2008 pursuant to Section 7 of the Humboldt County Salary Resolution.

7.                   Extension of Extra-Help Hours for Carla Heavilin and Teresa Miranda

RECOMMENDATION: That the Board of Supervisors extend Carla Heavilin and Teresa Miranda's extra-help employment hours 1000 hours to a maximum of 1960 hours for fiscal year 2007-2008 pursuant to Section 7 of the Humboldt County Salary Resolution.

8.                   Extension of Extra-Help Hours for Billie Larson and Pamela Sloan, Revenue Recovery Technicians, for FY 2007-2008

RECOMMENDATION: That the Board of Supervisors approve the extension of extra-help hours for Billie Larson and Pamela Sloan, Revenue Recovery Technicians, from 960 hours each to 1960 hours each for FY 2007-08, pursuant to section 7 of the Humboldt County Salary Resolution

D.                  CLOSED SESSION

1.                   Pursuant to Government Code Section 54957.6, Conference with Labor Negotiator.It is the Intention of the Board of the Humboldt County Public Authority to meet in Closed Session to have a conference with its Labor Negotiator to review and instruct designated representatives with respect to the various forms of compensation provided to represented and unrepresented personnel of the Humboldt County Public Authority

2.                   It is the intention of the Board of Supervisors to meet in closed session to consider the appointment for the position of Agricultural Commissioner, Sealer of Weights and Measures pursuant to Government Code Section 54954.5

This 15-minute portion of the meeting is reserved for persons desiring to address the Board on any matter not on this agenda that is under the jurisdiction of the Board. It is requested that speakers sign the sheet at the front doors of the Chamber by 1:25 p.m.
