Administrative Services (CAO)

1.                   Services to the Humboldt County Child Abuse Prevention Coordinating Council

RECOMMENDATION: Receive report, approve agreement with RCAA and approve supplemental budget.

Agriculture Commissioner

2.                   Funding for High-Risk Pest Inspection Services (Not to exceed $32,077.55)

RECOMMENDATION: Approve agreement with the State Dept. of Food and Agriculture.

Board of Supervisors

3.                   National Association of Counties Legislative Conference in Washington D.C. (Supervisor Dixon)

RECOMMENDATION: Authorize Supervisor Dixon to attend during March 3-7, 2000.

Clerk of the Board

4.                   Approval of the Board Orders from the Board Meeting of December 14, 1999

RECOMMENDATION: Approve the Board Orders.

Community Development Services

5.                   Complete Count Committee (For the 2000 Census) General Plan & Resolution

RECOMMENDATION: Approve plan and adopt Resolution No. 2000-7 supporting submittal of grant application for federal monies to facilitate creation and administration for Census 2000.

6.                   Sublease Agreement for Office of Economic Development

RECOMMENDATION: Approve sublease with Redwood Regional Economic Development Commission.

District Attorney

7.                   Child Abuse Services Team Supplemental Budget of $17,725

RECOMMENDATION: Approve request in order to receive grant funding from National Children's Alliance.

Employment Training

8.                   Program Year 1999-2000 30%/8% Cooperative Agreement

RECOMMENDATION: Approve agreement with the State Department of Education.

Library Services

9.                   Acceptance of Gates Library Initiative Grant ($139,047)

RECOMMENDATION: Authorize Chair to sign agreement with Gates Learning Foundation.

10.               Maintenance Agreement with Geac Computers Inc.

RECOMMENDATION: Authorize Chair to sign agreement.

Public Health

11.               Changes in FTEs for Business and Accounting Services Budget Unit 403

RECOMMENDATION: Approve changes.

12.               FTE Addition in budget Unit 460 Maternal and Child Health

RECOMMENDATION: Approve addition and supplemental budget of $23,244.

Public Works

13.               Renovating and Remodeling the Existing Juvenile Hall

RECOMMENDATION: Approve architectural agreement with LRS Architects Inc.

1.                   Appeal of Determination to Require Environmental Review Vroman Lot Line Adjustment Application; Perrot Ranch AP 308-216-09; Cases LLA-14-95 and CDP 77-95; Loleta

RECOMMENDATION: Adopt Resolution No. 2000-8 affirming Director's determination and denying appeal.

K.                  ADJOURNMENT
