4.                   Proclamation commemorating the 300 Year Anniversary of the Cascadia Earthquake by declaring the year 2000 as Cascadia Earthquake Awareness Year and the Month of April as Humboldt County Earthquake Preparedness Month (Supervisor Woolley)

3.                   Eureka Quimby Act Schedule

RECOMMENDATION: Adopt a schedule for use of fees for use in the Eureka community Plan Area as follows:The fees are to be used for the development of new or rehabilitation of existing parks located in the Eureka Community Plan Area.The fees are to be allocated for use for the development of the three community parks required to be set aside in the Cutten and Humboldt Hill area.The fees are to be allocated for use for the development of other parks noted in Section 4420 of the Eureka Community Plan or other new or existing parks that serve the Eureka Community Plan Area.All funds shall be disbursed only as authorized by the Board of Supervisors Disbursement requests shall show the developments which have paid into the fund, the percentage build out of the developments and the relationship to the park and recreational facilities by the future/existing inhabitants of the developments.
