A.                  SCHEDULED MATTERS

1.                   Creation of a Department of Health and Human Services

RECOMMENDATION: Approve in concept creation of said department with upper echelon organization as shown on Attachment 1.Direct CAO to confer with appropriate staff (with Public Health Dept. having equal seat in discussions), and return on Aug. 29, 2000 (if full Board present) with recommendations on filling positions on interim basis.Direct Personnel Dept. to develop job descriptions and recommend salaries for new positions being created.

2.                   Budget Study Sessions

RECOMMENDATION: Approve in Concept purchase of document imaging system for Clerk of the Board of Supervisors Division.

B.                  CLOSED SESSION

1.                   Pursuant to Govt. Code Sect. 54957.6, review County's position and instruct designated representatives with respect to various forms of compensation provided to County's represented and unrepresented employees (No Final Action Taken)

C.                  ADJOURNMENT
