RECOMMENDATION: Send letter of opposition to the Federal Aviation Administration and to Humboldt County's federal legislators; authorize Aviation Director to move forward with due diligence to resolve this; and continue this item to November 14, 2000, to consider other options.

RECOMMENDATION: Accept grant award from the Bureau of Justice Assistance for Local Law Enforcement Block Grant funds.

1.                   David Elsebusch urged the Board to insure that the election process is not corrupted.He said absentee ballots have been handled and marked by Lindsey McWilliams, Elections Official and the process is not condoned by the Secretary of State.He reminded the Board that Mr. McWilliams is accountable to them, and recommended that there be a procedure in place to insure that no marking takes place on original ballots.

1.                   Proposed Vacation of a Portion of Beach Road No. 4A120 in Shelter Cove

RECOMMENDATION: Receive proposed revisions to said ordinance and schedule adoption on December 5, 2000.

3.                   Humboldt Bay Housing Development General Plan Amendment Petition; Willow Creek Area File No. 522-492-18; Case No. GPP-00-01

RECOMMENDATION: Accept the petition by adopting Resolution No. 2000-91.
