RECOMMENDATION: Adopt Ordinance No. 2160 and execute the MOU with the Sheriff.

2.                   Request for Funding for the Eel River Stock Rescue Plan (Supervisor Dixon)

RECOMMENDATION: Send letter to the California Department of Fish and Game.

Coroner-Public Administrator

RECOMMENDATION: Approve request.

Court Executive Officer

7.                   Compensation for Commissioner/Referee Joyce Hinrichs at Salary Range 458

RECOMMENDATION: Approve request.

8.                   Compensation for Courtroom Clerk Virginia Strout at Senior Court Clerk Rate

RECOMMENDATION: Approve request through the completion of court consolidation.

9.                   Changes in Personnel Allocations

RECOMMENDATION: Disallocation Courtroom Clerk, Position 6; disallocate Court Reporter, Position 3; increase Courtroom Clerk, Positions 2 and 10 to 1.0 FTE; and increase Court Reporter, Position 11 to 1.0 FTE.

Emergency Services

10.               Supplemental Budget ($11,000) and Contract for Earthquake Retrofit Training

RECOMMENDATION: Approve budget and contract with the State Department of insurance.

Employment Training

11.               Request to Allocate Employment and Training Program Coordinator Position and Five Vocational Counselor I/II Positions

RECOMMENDATION: Approve request.

Mental Health

12.               Contract with Cloney's Prescription Pharmacy--Consultation/Medication Services

RECOMMENDATION: Authorize Chair to sign contract.

13.               Allocation of Mental Health Case Manager I/II Position and Disallocation of Senior Mental Health Worker Position

RECOMMENDATION: Approve the personnel changes.

Public Health

14.               Changes in Personnel Allocations for Women's Health Budget Unit 422

RECOMMENDATION: Allocate two .45 FTE Medical Office Assistant I/IIs. a .10 FTE Assistant County Physician, decrease Assistant County Physician Position to .52 FTE, decrease Medical Office Assistant I/II to .55 and approve supplemental budgets for various budget units.

15.               Extension of Extra-Help Hours for Five (5) Employees

RECOMMENDATION: Extend hours for C. Bauman, P. Case, S. Lewis, M. Pucillo and D. Wright.

16.               Request for Allocation of .5 FTE Office Assistant I/II Position

RECOMMENDATION: Approve request.

Public Works

17.               Temporary Detour for Fulmor Road; County Road No. 2H040 (Manzi Property)

RECOMMENDATION: Approve agreement with Mary Manzi.

18.               Murray Field Airport Improvement Project 911300

RECOMMENDATION: Accept completed contract with Redwood Empire Aggregates.

19.               Supplemental Budget for Erosion Control Work at Samoa Boat Launch Facility

RECOMMENDATION: Approve supplemental budget of $4,000.

Risk Management

20.               Transfer of $1,000 for the Purchase of Computer Software

RECOMMENDATION: Approve transfer.

21.               Adoption of Correctional Programs Coordinator into the Classification Plan

RECOMMENDATION: Approve request and allocate position in the Sheriff's Department.

22.               Amendment to Contract with Employment Development Department (CalWORKS)

RECOMMENDATION: Authorize Chair to sign amendment.

23.               Transfer to Cover Purchase of Floor Covering in Annex and Emergency Shelter

RECOMMENDATION: Approve transfer of $27,000.

RECOMMENDATION: Request that the Board of Forestry hold its April 1998 meeting in Humboldt County.
