A.                  STUDY SESSION

1.                   Study Session on Proposed County Budget for Fiscal Year 1998-99

RECOMMENDATION: Hold study session on budget units affecting Human Services Cabinet and take appropriate action.

B.                  PUBLIC HEARINGS

Administrative Office (CAO)

1.                   Transfer of Realignment Funds from Health Department Subaccount to Social Department Subaccount to Provide Funding for the Child Welfare Services Program

RECOMMENDATION: Find decision to make a change in allocation of Health Dept. realignment monies is based on most cost-effective use of available resources to maximize client outcomes and direct Auditor to transfer $200,000 of State/Local Program Realignment Funds from Health Dept. Subaccount (Fund 3444) to Social Services Budget Unit 511, Account 1100-507-010, to provide funds for County's share of Child Welfare Services Program.

Coroner-Public Administrator

2.                   Transfer of $16,000 from Contingencies to Extra-Help ($11,000) and to Overtime ($5,000)

RECOMMENDATION: Approve transfer by a 4/5 vote.

C.                  ADJOURNMENT
