CONTINUED BUDGET SESSION
A. PUBLIC HEARINGS
Continued Budget Session
RECOMMENDATION: Hold public hearing on budget units for Personnel, County Counsel, Community Assistance Unit, County Clerk/Recorder, Planning & Building, Special Districts and reserve for contingencies.
RECOMMENDATION: Direct Building Inspections receive a General fund contribution of $66,030 for this year.† Direct the next budget year that the Board revisit the issue of making a fifteen percent General Fund contribution to Building Inspections.
RECOMMENDATION: Adopt Option 1 for Planning and Building Department with inclusion of an appeal process and deletion of No. 5 in submittal for Option 1.† Direct staff to bring back a fee schedule pertaining to implementation of Option 1.
B. COUNTY ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICE
RECOMMENDATION: Authorize allocation of up to $10,000 for litigation costs pertaining to subject item, contingent upon participation of cities of Arcata and Eureka as joint plaintiffs with Humboldt County.† Direct County Counsel to work with Ken Davlin, Eureka Chamber of Commerce, and David Tranberg, Eureka City Attorney on pending litigation.
