RECOMMENDATION: Approve allocation.

3.                   Transfer of $156,571 to Various Court Line Items to Clear Remaining Edits from Fiscal Year 1996-97

RECOMMENDATION: Reschedule for the meeting of Wednesday, September 3, 1997.

4.                   Extra-Help Extension for Bruce Anfinson, Property Evidence Technician

RECOMMENDATION: Approve extension.

5.                   Consolidation of the Marshal's and Sheriff's Functions

RECOMMENDATION: Direct proposed legislation to authorize the abolishment of the three offices of Marshal within the Humboldt County Municipal Court District.Direct CAO to forward the proposed Marshal-Sheriff Consolidation legislation to the County's Lobbyist Don Peterson to implement necessary legislative process to accomplish proposed change in existing law.Approve interim MOU and direct Marshal and Sheriff to begin immediate merger of their court security services.

Social Services

6.                   Food Stamps Distribution Agreement with Redwood Community Action Agency

RECOMMENDATION: Amend agreement for a $0.06 increase in rate charged per transaction.

Supplemental Item--Board of Supervisors

7.                   Memorandum of Understanding with Round Valley Tribes and California Trout Regarding the Flow-Release Schedule of the Potter Valley Project (Supervisor Dixon)

RECOMMENDATION: Authorize Supervisor Dixon as the County's representative to the Eel Russian River Commission to sign the proposed Memorandum of Understanding.
