RECOMMENDATION: Approve request for investigation to determine if there is a risk of contracting hepatitis C virus infection among people who received a specific lot of immune globulin between February 1, 1994--January 31, 1995.

12.               Supplemental Budget for Fiscal Year 1996-97; Environmental Health Division

RECOMMENDATION: Approve purchase of fixed assets and supplemental budget for $92,355.

13.               Paying of State or Federal Minimum Wage, Whichever is Highest, for Pages

RECOMMENDATION: Adopt long-term policy to pay the higher minimum wage.

RECOMMENDATION: Approve supplemental budget to correct appropriation for Jail Phase II.

18.               Monetary Award for Identification of Persons Disposing of Household Garbage at County Parks

RECOMMENDATION: Authorize an award (1/2 of revenue collected to offset clean-up costs).

RECOMMENDATION: Terminate activity on project to construct new justice facility; direct staff to outline a plan of action to complete seismic retrofit of courthouse; and direct staff to outline a course of action to remodel second floor of courthouse to accommodate courts.

1.                   Loreen Hamilton of Phillipsville strongly supports continuation of Sheriff's Work Alternative Program (SWAP).Don Davenport is happy with the changes taking place in the Planning Department.Holly Sweet submitted a petition from Redway residents stating they "object strenuously to the siting of an auto repair/towing service/auto impound facility on the undeveloped "Murrish" lots on main street of Redway. (See scanned document for more detail.)

1.                   Amending and Updating of Schedule of Fees/Charges for Solid Waste Disposal at County-Owned Container Sites and Redway Transfer Station

RECOMMENDATION: Approve increase in rates as summarized in report, and adopt Ordinance 2144.
