A.                  PUBLIC HEARING

1.                   Continued Public Hearing on Proposed County Budget for Fiscal Year 1996-97

RECOMMENDATION: Authorized Supervisor Fulkerson and Kirk to meet with the County Administrative Officer and the Auditor-Controller on August 22, 1996 to be briefed on new information regarding the 1996-97 budget deficit figures.

B.                  CLOSED SESSION

1.                   Closed Session

RECOMMENDATION: Tamara C. Falor, County Counsel made the following statement pertaining to the Closed Session held by the Board.

C.                  CONTINUED PUBLIC HEARING

1.                   Continued Public Hearing on Proposed County Budget for Fiscal Year 1996-97

RECOMMENDATION: BY CONSENSUS suspended the budget study sessions scheduled for August 22 and 23, 1996 in order for the Auditor-Controller and the County Administrative Officer to work together to present on Monday, August 26, 1996 at 9:00 am a "clearer picture" on what the new budget deficit figures mean; and what options are available.

D.                  CONTINUED PUBLIC HEARING 7:00 PM

1.                   Continued Public Hearing on Proposed County Budget for Fiscal Year 1996-97

RECOMMENDATION: No action taken.

E.                  ADJOURNMENT
