RECOMMENDATION: Award project to KBR Construction.

17.               Construction of Bridge on Tributary Creek at North Fork of the Mattole River; Project 940050

RECOMMENDATION: Accept completed contract with MCM Construction General Contractor.

18.               Acceptance of EPA Grant Award ($8,400) for Riparian Vegetation Mapping and Restoration Project

RECOMMENDATION: Accept grant for the Lower Van Duzen and Eel Rivers.

19.               Emergency Road Repairs to Mattole Road; Post Mile 37.87

RECOMMENDATION: Authorize Public Works Director, acting as Road commissioner to invoke Sect. 20395(e) of the State Contract Act which authorizes the immediate repair of damaged roadway costing over $25,000 without the normal advertising for bids and approve transfer of $150,000 from Road Fund Contingency following the adoption of the 1996-97 County budget (to fund repair project).

RECOMMENDATION: Continue to the meeting of October 8, 1996.

6.                   Joint Exercise of Powers Agreement for Humboldt County Waste Management Authority

RECOMMENDATION: Receive report from CAO and take appropriate action.
