27.               Schools Combined Request for Tax and Revenue Anticipation Notes (TRANS) Issuance

RECOMMENDATION: Notify the Eureka High School District, Eureka School District and Redwoods Community College District and their bond attorneys, Orrick, Herrington and Sutcliffe that the Board will not act to authorize the above-named Districts to issue TRANS.

28.               Amendment to Resolution No. 95-31 Intent to Issue Tax-Exempt Obligations

RECOMMENDATION: Adopt Resolution No. 96-35.

29.               Agreement for Services--Issuance and Sale of Tax Revenue and Anticipation Notes 1996-97

4.                   Community Education and Volunteer Recognition for Amateur Radio Operators and NEST Leaders

RECOMMENDATION: Honor agencies and local volunteers who have dedicated many hours to community service for disaster preparedness by promoting NEST program and those volunteering to serve as emergency radio communicators throughout county; view videotape produced by RCAA as disaster-preparedness project which promotes NEST program for use by OES in public presentations and recognize and commend U.S. Coast Guard Air Station Humboldt Bay and U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Acushnet for exemplary contributions to community by incorporating NEST program in Coast Guard housing areas and allowing RCAA to film video on location in USCG housing.
