RECOMMENDATION: Honor agencies and local volunteers who have dedicated many hours to community service for disaster preparedness by promoting NEST program and those volunteering to serve as emergency radio communicators throughout county; view videotape produced by RCAA as disaster-preparedness project which promotes NEST program for use by OES in public presentations and recognize and commend U.S. Coast Guard Air Station Humboldt Bay and U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Acushnet for exemplary contributions to community by incorporating NEST program in Coast Guard housing areas and allowing RCAA to film video on location in USCG housing.
