1.                   Request from Fortuna Veterans Organizations to Discuss the Possibility of a Long-Term Lease of the Fortuna Veterans Building (Supervisor Dixon)

RECOMMENDATION: Refer this matter to County Counsel and Real Property Division for review and report back to the Board.

Public Works

1.                   Prohibition of Parking and Establishment of Class II Bicycle Lanes on McKinleyville Avenue

RECOMMENDATION: Authorize prohibition of parking at all times on east side of McKinleyville Avenue between Hiller and Murray Roads; authorize placement of Class II bicycle lanes (on-street) on McKinleyville Avenue between Hiller and Murray Roads; and direct County Counsel to prepare the necessary implementing ordinance.

I.                     PUBLIC HEARINGS


1.                   Continued Public Hearing on Establishment of 1993 Update of Fees for the Building Inspections Division

RECOMMENDATION: County Counsel to prepare ordinance implementing new fees.

J.                   CLOSED SESSION

1.                   During a closed session on Meet and Confer the Board took the following actions:gave the Personnel Director the authority to certify the names of laid-off County employees to any vacant positions for which the Personnel Director deems them qualified, regardless of the class from which they were laid off, for as long as they remain in layoff status and direct the Employee Relations Officer to inform recognized employee organizations of this action.
