RECOMMENDATION: Direct Public Works to respond to Del Norte Solid Waste Management Authority.

RECOMMENDATION: Grant approval pursuant to Section 39381 of the California Education Code.

RECOMMENDATION: Grant exemption.

Planning and Building

1.                   Matters Pertaining to Gravel Extraction Operations in Humboldt County

RECOMMENDATION: Dr. Jager announced that a draft PEIR would be delivered to the Planning and Building Department on February 2, 1994.

2.                   Ordinance Amending Section 313-4 of the Humboldt County Code by Rezoning Approximately 15 acres from Agriculture Exclusive to Timber Production Zone-- LOWRY Zone Boundary Adjustment; Ferndale/Wildcat Area; File No. 102-074-04; Case No. ZR-07-912

RECOMMENDATION: Adopt Ordinance No. 2031.

Sheriff

3.                   Supplemental Budget of $47,775 for Marijuana Unit with Offsetting Revenue and Transfer from Asset Forfeiture Account

RECOMMENDATION: Approve requests.

Administrative Office (CAO)

4.                   Agreement for Special Needs Emergency Shelter

RECOMMENDATION: Authorize CAO to execute agreement and approve transfer of $9,000 from Contingency.

5.                   Report on Proposed Legislation (No Report Required)

6.                   Update on Option 9 (Proposed Northwest Economic Adjustment Initiative)

RECOMMENDATION: Appoint Charlie Loeb, Tiffiany Allgood, Sue Maston, and Mike Orcutt to the Option 9 Project Proposal Review and Ranking Committee.

1.                   Aldo Bongio thanked Supervisor Dixon for moderating a town meeting in Fields Landing on January 29, 1994.He also asked why Humboldt County pays the highest general relief in the State.He further stated that there is inadequate public parking at County buildings.

RECOMMENDATION: In accordance with Resolution No. 1024 there are herewith submitted check registers covering disbursements made during the period ending January 27, 1994.
