1.                   Transfer to and from the Contingency Fund in the Amount of $84,123 for the Establishment of Department 244--Jail Transition Team

RECOMMENDATION: Approve transfer and associated allocation of personnel.

2.                   Purchase of Two-Way Radios for Use by the Building Maintenance Department

RECOMMENDATION: Reschedule for the meeting of October 19, 1993.

Board of Supervisors

3.                   Transfer of $5,000 from the Contingency Fund to Assist in the Purchase of Equipment for the Aquaculture Research Laboratory at Eureka High School (Supervisor Neely)

RECOMMENDATION: Approve transfer.

4.                   Proclamation Declaring October 16, 1993 as Aviation Day (Supervisor Sparks)

RECOMMENDATION: Ratify proclamation which was presented on October 16, 1993.

5.                   Resolution Commending Arlow C. Harrison on His 100th Birthday (Supervisor Sparks)

RECOMMENDATION: Adopt resolution.

County Counsel

6.                   Ordinance Amending Sections 212-1 to 212-5, Inclusive and Section 213-1 of Chapters 2 and 3, Division 1, of Title II of the Humboldt County Code, Relating to Reapportionment of Supervisorial District Boundaries, and Reducing the Salaries of the Board of Supervisors

RECOMMENDATION: Adopt Ordinance No. 2010.

Eel River Constable

7.                   Temporary Salary Increase for Legal Office Assistant II Carol Youkey to Range 280 Until Such Time that the Constable and/or Marshall Position is Filled

RECOMMENDATION: Approve temporary salary increase.

Health

8.                   Establish Fixed Asset Line Item and Allocate $700 for Purchase of 330 MB Hard Drive

RECOMMENDATION: Approve request.

9.                   Establish Line Item to Track Expenditures from Enforcement Assistance Grant in Budget Unit 430 Integrated Waste Management

RECOMMENDATION: Approve request in the amount of $19,362.

10.               Supplemental Budget in the Amount of $700 for Purchase of Computer Furniture

RECOMMENDATION: Approve request.

RECOMMENDATION: Adopt Ordinance No. 2011.

13.               Letter Approving the Concept of the McKinleyville Community Services District Irrigating the Arcata Airport Land with Treated Wastewater

RECOMMENDATION: Authorize Chair to sign letter.

14.               Purchase of Twelve (12) Green Machines at a Cost of $3,650

RECOMMENDATION: Approve purchase for clearing of brush on County roads and rights-of-way.

15.               Resolution Required to Obtain Federal Financing for Price Creek Bridge Replacement

RECOMMENDATION: Adopt Resolution No. 93-96.

Sheriff

16.               Allocation of Correctional Lieutenant Position; Increase in Compensation (20 Salary Ranges) for Correctional LT. Melinda Ciarabellini; Rescinding of Temporary Promotion of Larry Whitford as Correctional Lieutenant
