3.                   Ordinance Amending Section 213-1 of Chapter 3 of Division 1 of Title II of the Humboldt County Code Relating to the Compensation of the Board of Supervisors

RECOMMENDATION: Introduce ordinance by title, and schedule for adoption on June 7, 1994.

Administrative Office (CAO)

4.                   Report on Proposed Legislation (if required)

RECOMMENDATION: Authorized the Chair to sign a letter to Governor Wilson, Assemblyman Hauser, and State Senator Thompson that urges them to address the assumption that 3.1 billion dollars in funding to fight illegal immigration will not be forthcoming from the federal government; and further urge them to immediately plan for this contingency problem.

RECOMMENDATION: Continue to May 31, 1994 to close public hearing and set date for deliberation.

2.                   Ordinance Amending Section 313-4 of the Humboldt County Code by Revising the Provisions of the Qualified Zone for Property in the Lower Redway Area

RECOMMENDATION: Adopt Ordinance No. 2038.
