RECOMMENDATION: That the Board of Supervisors approve the Board Orders, and
authorize the Clerk of the Board and the Board Chair, to sign the minute book
in accordance with California Government Code Section.
These matters are routine in nature and are usually approved
by a single vote. Prior to the meeting, any member of the public may request
any member of the Board to pull a particular item for further discussion.
RECOMMENDATION: That the Board of Supervisors approve the extension of extra
help hours for Pamela Sloan, Revenue Recovery Officer I, from 960 hours to 1484
hours through June 30, 2010, per Section 7 of the Humboldt County Salary
RECOMMENDATION: That the Board of Supervisors approves the appointment of
Harpreet Duggal, M.D., Thomas Meyer, M.D., and Wendy Brandon, N.P., as active
members of the Medical Staff of the Sempervirens Acute Psychiatric Hospital.
RECOMMENDATION: That the Board of Supervisors approve Standard Agreement EPO
P4-13 with the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) for CDC PHER H1N1
Phase IV for the period of March 1, 2010 through July 30, 2010; authorize the
Chairperson of the Humboldt County Board of
Supervisors to sign the three (3) originals of the attached
Agreement; direct the Clerk of the Board to submit the signed documents to the
Public Health Branch Emergency Coordinator Charlene Pellatz, for submission to
the California Department of Public Health; and direct the Auditor-Controller
to supplement the budget in Fund 1175, Budget Unit 455 (Emergency Preparedness
and Response) for fiscal year 2009-10 as indicated in Attachment A.
Health and Human Services - Social Services
RECOMMENDATION: That the Board of Supervisors reallocate the full-time Office
Assistant I/II position in budget unit 511, currently occupied by Lisa Perkins
(salary range 289, class 0169B, position #01) to Office Assistant III (salary range 310, class 0186) effective the
beginning of the biweekly pay period following approval.
RECOMMENDATION: That the Board of Supervisors grant an exception to the
hiring freeze to allow the Public Works Department to fill a vacant, full-time
Environmental Analyst position (class 208, salary range 369) in the Water
Management Budget Unit (251).
RECOMMENDATION: That the Board of Supervisors approve the waiver of Section
29 B.1, (Catastrophic Leave) Conditions Under Which Paid Leave Time May Be Donated
to an Employee and allow any full-time, permanent employee, regardless of
department, to donate eligible time to Deputy Sheriff Kenny Dison, as outlined
in the current Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the County of Humboldt
and the Humboldt Deputy Sheriff's Organization, Law Enforcement, Non-Management
Unit 6 Attachment A; and approve the waiver of Section 29 C.5 (Catastrophic
Leave) Conditions Under Which Paid Leave Credits May be Used and allow the use
of donated paid leave not to exceed one year for Deputy Sheriff Kenny Dison, as
outlined in the current Memorandum of Understanding between the County of
Humboldt and the Humboldt Deputy Sheriff’s Organization, Law Enforcement,
Non-Management Unit 6, Attachment B.
RECOMMENDATION: That the Board of Supervisors accept the Agreement Number
2010-25 between the County of Humboldt and the Drug Enforcement Administration;
authorize the Board Chair to sign the request for Advance or Reimbursement,
Certification Regarding Lobbying, Debarment, Suspension, and Other Responsibility
Matters; and Drug Free Workplace Requirement, Assurances; authorize the Sheriff
to sign agreement number 2010-25; instruct the Clerk of the Board to return the
signed original documents to the Sheriff's Office (Attention: Linda Modell) for
