Coroner-Public Administrator

1.                   Request for Exception from Hiring Freeze.

RECOMMENDATION: That the board fo Supervisor's approve an exception from the hiring freeze to allow the Coroner/Public Administrator's Office to fill the vacant Deputy Coroner position [Class #445, Salary Range 379, Position #03], effective immediately.


Public Works

2.                   License Agreement with AVI8CANDO, A California Non-Profit Public Benefit Corporation, At Rohnerville Airport.

RECOMMENDATION: That the Board of Supervisors by a 4/5th's vote approve and authorize the Chairperson to execute the attached License Agreement with AVI8CANDO, a California Non-Profit Public Benefit Corporation; and direct the Clerk of the Board to return the executed License Agreement to the Land Use Division.

3.                   Storm Damage Repair on Trinidad Scenic Drive (4M310) at PM 0.75 & 1.00, Project No. PW 1147, Contract No. 206286 & 206364.

RECOMMENDATION: That the Board of Supervisors receive and file the bids for Storm Damage Repair on Trinidad Scenic Drive at PM 0.75 and 1.00; award the Contract to GR Sundberg, Inc. for the total amount of $40,860.00; authorize the Chairman to execute the project agreement upon submittal of the appropriate bonds and insurance; and direct the Auditor-Controller to establish a new contract account 1200321-0254 and transfer $44,946.00 to the account per the attached appropriation transfer.

4.                   License Agreement with Dan J. Burris, A Sole Proprietor, to Provide Ground Courier Service from Murray Field Airport and Arcata/Eureka Airport.

RECOMMENDATION: That the Board of Supervisors by a 4/5's vote approve and authorize the Chairperson to execute the attached License Agreement with Dan J. Burris, a sole proprietor; and director the Clerk of the Board to return the executed License Agreement to the Land Use Division.

D.                 CLOSED SESSION

1.                   Conference with Legal Counsel - Existing Litigation pursuant to Government Code section 54956.9(a), County of Humboldt v. Robert C. McKee; Humboldt Superior Court Case No. DR020825

RECOMMENDATION:
