The Humboldt County Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), Environmental Health Division is notifying recreational users of Luffenholtz Beach that the warning issued on June 23, 2005 to avoid contact with ocean water near the mouth of Luffenholtz Creek has been withdrawn. A second water quality test completed on June 24, 2005 indicates that the state health standards for Enterococcus faecalis and fecal coliform/total coliform are now being met. All warning signs have been removed from the beach.
