Free high-speed wireless internet service
is now available at the Blue Lake Branch Library

Great news! Blue Lake Library can now serve as a community wireless hotspot, accommodating up to 50 users at a time. If you have a device capable of connecting to wi-fi (laptop, smartphone, nook, ipad, etc), you can get online for free simply by requesting a password from branch staff any time the library is open. Also, the new connection for the library’s public computer is 60-times faster than the previous dial-up connection. If you would like to know more about the new and improved internet access, and how it came to be, read this.

The Humboldt County Library enjoys tremendous support throughout the County. Friends of the Library organizations exist in nearly every branch library community. Through the work of the Friends, the library is able to add more books and materials to its collections and offer programs to enhance library services. Contact the Friends group in your community for information on how to join.
