
Free Lantern Making Workshops
Learn to make beautiful tissue paper lanterns!
Saturday, May 12th
Two sessions:
Attend a class from 1:00 p.m. - 2:30 p.m.
or from 2:30 p.m.- 4:00 p.m.
There are 20 spaces available in each session.

The workshops are being offered at no cost, and all ages are welcome. Every person
who makes a lantern will receive a coupon entitling the bearer to 50% off entry
to the upcoming Humboldt Made Fair.
Completed lanterns may be taken home to enjoy, or they may be donated to be used in an
outdoor event held Saturday, June 23 as part of the Humboldt Made Fair.
The Humboldt Made fair will run from June 23rd through the 26th at Redwood Acres Fairgrounds.
The
Lantern workshop is sponsored by the Arcata Playhouse and the California
Arts Council. The Arcata Playhouse is a non-profit organization located in the
Old Creamery Building in Arcata. The instructors for the Lantern workshop
will be Dell Arte graduate Amy Tetzlaff, local artist Margo
Whitcomb, and Barbara Culbertson.
