 Superhero Story Time at 11:00 a.m.

Sign up for a session of the collaborative storytelling game,
“Happy Birthday, Robot!”
Call during open hours to reserve your spot for either
1:30 p.m. or 2:30 p.m.
 This game is for ages 6 and up; players take turns adding or subtracting words from sentences to tell the story of Robot’s birthday

There will be staff in super-hero guise, and you are encouraged to dress as your favorite character as well.

Septiembre a Junio, Compartamos un Cuento es en el primero jueves del cada mes en 6:30 p.m.

Una programa de la biblioteca, en el Centro de Recursos Familiares, 1450 Hiller Road.

Este programa ofrece las familias la oportunidad de realizar actividades divertidas que promueven el desarrollo y el aprendizaje de los niños, incluyendo cuentos, un video corte, rimas y manualidades. Todas las familias son bienvenidas. Cada familia tambien puede recibir un libro, gratis.

Share a Story in Spanish

Compartamos un Cuento (that's Share a Story in Spanish) is held on the first Thursday of the month at 6:30 p.m. A library storytime in Spanish, it is held at the McKinleyville Community Collaborative / Family Resource Center, 1450 Hiller Road. 

This program is an opportunity for families to come together for an hour of fun that promotes children's development and learning to read. This event is in Spanish and includes stories, a video clip, activities and crafts.  All families are welcome. Each participating family will also receive a free book.  Share-a-Story held every month from September to June.

This program is co-sponsored by KEET TVs Ready to Learn Service and First 5 Humboldt.

Friends of the Library

The Humboldt County Library enjoys tremendous support throughout the County. Friends of the Library organizations exist in nearly every branch library community. Through the work of the Friends, the library is able to add more books and materials to its collections and offer programs to enhance library services.
