BBC Languages - Study a language online for free.  Spanish, French, Chinese, English, Gaelic, more.
College Affordability and Transparency Center  If you are going to pay for an education, make sure you are getting good value with this Department of Education tool. There are good programs and others that don't measure up -- check it out here.
edX -  "x" classes from MIT, Harvard, Berkeley, etc. Most are short, interesting courses that can be audited or self-paced for free.  (Some include the option of college credit and/or more interaction with the instructors and college, for a fee.)  - Click the subject you want to learn, and Einztein will show you free courses from colleges.
FutureLearn - free courses from the United Kingdom designed to fit around your life, with short activities and clear goals to encourage you to make progress at a rate that suits you.  It is easy to see how long each course will last and the needed time commitment.
