Use your library account to . . .
check your due dates keep a reading history get new book alerts set your own holds
and more!
Many library patrons would like to keep track of what they have checked out in the past, or keep a list of library items to check out sometime in the future. And in a perfect world, wouldn't you automatically be notified when the Library obtains a new book by your favorite author, or on your favorite subject?
These features and more are now available to you through
WebPac Pro, the new and improved Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC) of the
Humboldt County Library. Funding for this new tool was made possible in part
with a grant from the Humboldt County Library Foundation.
Library patrons can now personalize their accounts by using My Millennium, a new part of the catalog that you control. Your library card number is your password.
In your private account, you can now not only view your library record, but also decide whether you would like to automatically keep a history of what you check out, make a list of authors, subjects, etc. you want to get email alerts about, establish reading lists, place holds and more. You can do this from home if you have the internet there, or from any computer in the library that features the Library Catalog.
Your privacy is protected even within your account, because you can choose whether or not to use any of the My Millennium functions, and you can edit your reading history as you like. After using your personal account, it is important to log out of it before leaving the computer, just as you would log out of your email account.
