GIS Data Download

Please note the accuracy of GIS map data varies from location to location in the County. This GIS system is useful for planning purposes but should not be relied upon to determine property, zoning or general plan designation boundaries or be used in any way for project design. All GIS data should be verified before it is materially relied upon for property or project planning. In urban areas the GIS map data maybe inaccurate by as much as 50 feet in any direction. In rural areas the map data may be inaccurate by as much as 400 feet in any direction.

California Government Code 6254.21 states that "No state or local agency shall post the home address or telephone number of any elected or appointed official on the Internet without first obtaining the written permission of that individual." As the cost to collect and continuously update that information is prohibitive, we are not providing the Assessee name  information for download with our LIS database.

GIS data is in CA State Plane Zone 1, UTM Zone 10, or Albers Equal Area

projection coordinates.  Most Humboldt County GIS data is in CA State Plane Zone 1

NAD27 Units Feet coordinates.  Humboldt County is not the source for data listed in

grey italics.  It is recommended, in some cases mandatory, that this data be acquired

from the original source (see web link).  Contact Info is provided at the bottom of this page.

Click on Dataset Name for Metadata.  Metadata is provided in *.met textfile, html, and/or xml files.

Downloads are compressed zip files consisting of all necessary files for each data set including

projection files and metadata.  Periodic updates, where applicable, to datasets will be made available.

Draft data is preliminary or incomplete data that is still being developed and/or reviewed.
