The Humboldt County Sheriffs Garberville Station is located in the heart of
redwood county at the southern end of Humboldt County. The area is considered to
be one of the
premier recreational areas of Humboldt County, which includes activities such
as
boating, hiking, salmon and ocean fishing as well as access to many beautiful
state-maintained redwood parks. Garberville is a one-hour drive south of Eureka
Calif, on U.S Highway 101 or the alternate scenic Avenue of the Giants.
The Garberville Station serves the communities of Garberville, Redway,
Shelter Cove,
Miranda, Phillipsville, Weott, Myers Flat, and Alderpoint. The station is
staffed with one
Sergeant, five Deputies, one resident Deputy assigned to Shelter Cove, one
Correctional
Officer and a Senior Legal Office Assistant. The station is open to the
public Monday-
Friday 8:00 am to 4:30 p.m.
