The Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office is pleased to unveil to the public the new graphics on our patrol cars. The new look coincides with the Sheriff’s Office’s celebration of our 150th anniversary.
“This is a benchmark year for us and there are a lot of changes happening within our office,” Sheriff Philp said.
It may take a few years for the Sheriff’s entire fleet of cars to get the new graphics. It’s only as an older car is taken out of service and replaced with a new one that the graphics are being phased in. Of course, this is a cost-saving measure, as the Sheriff’s Office won’t be replacing the existing graphics on the cars currently in use.
Sheriff Philp added, “We’re trying to present a stronger image to the public and make a more positive impression. I think the change in our cars reflects the stronger sense of pride and professionalism that our staff feels.”
