On 06-19-2013, approximately 10:45 p.m. Henry Lance turned himself into the jail. It is unknown why Lance walked away from the inmate work crew at College of the Redwoods. Additional charges are being sought against Henry for escape from custody.



On June 19, 2013 at about 2:15pm an inmate work crew was clearing brush near the wooded area of the Humboldt Botanical Gardens on the campus of College of the Redwoods. A Correctional Officer supervising the work crew noticed an inmate, Lance D Henry, 24 years old of Fortuna, had not returned from using the restroom. The officer found a blue jail issued shirt on the ground and determined that Henry had walked away from the work crew. Henry was serving 364 days in jail for a violation of probation. His release date was scheduled for October 25, 2013.

Lance D. Henry is described as follows: White male, 61 tall, approximately 155 lbs, black hair, brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a white t-shirt, blue jeans, and black work boots.

All local law enforcement agencies have been notified to be on the look out for Henry.
