The Humboldt County Sheriff’s identified four suspects responsible for the below robbery. Those suspects were arrested during the month of July. The first suspect, Darlene Patricia Vandeepoel, 32 years old was arrested by deputies at a residence on Cannibal Island Road, Loleta on 7-12-2013. The second suspect, Zackery Jacob Chapman, 38 years old was arrested by a deputy who spotted him at 14th and Broadway Avenue, Eureka on 7-14-2013. The third suspect, Tristan Laverene Roberts, 28 years old was arrested by deputies at US 101 and Sunset Avenue, Arcata after the Sheriff’s Office received information about a car she was driving. Chapman, Vandeepoel and Roberts were all booked into the Humboldt County Correctional Facility on charges of robbery and conspiracy. Their bail was set at $100,000.00.
The fourth suspect, Von Eric Keener, 39 years old, was arrested by a California Highway Patrol Officer on 7-27-13 on Singley Road, Loleta. He was transported and booked into the Humboldt County Correctional Facility on charges of kidnapping, robbery, assault with a deadly weapon, conspiracy, terrorist threats and vehicle theft. He is being held without bail.

The Humboldt County Sheriff’s has identified and is looking for three suspects in connection with the below robbery and assault. They have been identified as follows:
Suspect #1 Von Eric Keener 39 years old, male, , 6”3” tall, 250 lbs, brown hair, brown eyes
** Keener has a felony warrant for his arrest for be being a Parolee at Large***
Suspect #2 Tristina Lavern Roberts 28 year old, female, 5’ 4” tall, 150 lbs, brown, brown
Suspect #3 Darlene Patricia Vandeepol 32 years old, female, 5” 7” tall, 125 lbs, blond hair, hazel eyes

On 07-10-2013, approximately 4:45 p.m. the Humboldt County Sheriff’s office received a call of an armed robbery and assault with a deadly weapon had just occurred in the 2700 block of Eel River Drive, Loleta. The 57 year old male victim told the Sheriff’s Office Dispatcher he had been assaulted by two men in an apartment in Loleta. The victim said one of the men was armed with a double barrel shot gun, the other with a baseball bat. The victim said he was injured jumping out a window to avoid the men. He also said his Nissan truck was stolen by the suspects.
Deputies and medical personnel were dispatched to the scene. Upon the deputies arrival they met with the victim. The victim told the deputies he went to the residence to sell prescription drugs to the suspects. Two girls he knew arranged the deal. When he arrived and entered the residence he was met by two men. One had a shotgun; the other had a baseball ball bat. They verbally threatened the victim while putting the shotgun into the victims face and they took the victims cell phone. The victim was able to jump out a window when he had an opportunity and ran to a phone to call 911 for help. Meantime the suspects fled with the victim’s 2007 Nissan truck.
Deputies responded to the residence where the assault occurred and searched it for the suspects. No one was inside the residence; however deputies located evidence consistent with the victims account as to what occurred. Deputies recovered a .410 double barreled sawed off shotgun from the residence.
The victim was transported to a local hospital where he was treated for his injuries where he was treated and released. He received injuries to his hand and shoulder when he jumped out the window.
The suspects are both described as follows: One a dark skinned male, the other a shorter dark skinned male. The victim had no further description.
The stolen truck is a lime green 2007 Nissan four wheel drive extra cab, with a green four by four sticker on the side rear quarter panels on both the left and right side, a black rack, no camper shell, a mounted black tool box in bed, cold air intake valve on the hood, no tailgate, 5th wheel trailer hookup in the center of the bed, California Plate # 8X00644.
Deputies are actively following up on this case.
