A man who was serving a sentence in the Humboldt County Correctional Facility walked away from a work crew this morning. Jermaine Marcus Foster, 32 of Arcata, had gone out with an inmate work crew to the SWAP wood lot in Eureka. At about 9:00 a.m. the supervising Correctional Officer conducted a roll call and discovered that Foster was missing.

Foster is an African American male, 5’9” tall, and weighs 165 pounds. He has brown eyes, a moustache and goatee, and a shaved head. He has several tattoos including “Richmond Gangster” on his chest and “Bay Area” on his back. Foster was last seen wearing a white tee shirt, blue jeans, and black work boots.

Foster had been serving 177 days for misdemeanor domestic battery, possession of drug paraphernalia, and giving false identification to a peace officer. He had been scheduled for release on July 08, 2005.
