A man working on a jail inmate work crew walked away from his work site this morning. Dustin Kyle King, 18 of Eureka, had been serving a sentence of 365 days in the Humboldt County Correctional Facility after being convicted of possession of stolen property. King had been assigned to an outside work crew. Under the supervision of a Correctional Officer, a work crew of ten inmates (including King) left the Correctional Facility this morning for a work site at the intersection of Giuntoli Lane and Highway 101. At about 10:00 a.m. the Officer found King’s weed eater unattended and discovered that King was missing.
King is an 18 year-old white male. He is 5’5” tall and weighs 130 pounds. He has blue eyes and blond hair that is cropped short. King has several tattoos including “Jessica” and “DKKM” on his left forearm. King was last seen wearing yellow rain gear over a blue denim coat, blue jeans, a blue shirt, and black work boots.
