On 04-06-2006 at 1100 hours the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office Drug Enforcement Unit and the California State Bureau of Narcotic Enforcement served a search warrant on a parcel of property located in the Eel Rock area of Myers Flat. On the property officers located a commercial indoor marijuana cloning operation that contained 5,495 marijuana plants.
Officers seized a 20- k/w diesel generator that was supplying electrical power to the indoor marijuana growing operation. No suspects were located on the property when the search warrant was served.
This case is still under investigation by the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office and the Bureau of Narcotic Enforcement.
Since January 2006 the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office has seized over 22,000 marijuana plants from indoor growing operations. These 22,000 marijuana plants have a street value of approximately $17,500,000.
