Humboldt County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested a Eureka man last night after finding him to be in possession of more than 27 grams of suspected methamphetamine. At about 10:00 p.m. Wednesday night, a Sheriff’s Sergeant pulled over Marc Joseph Leonard, 45, for a traffic violation. Leonard, who is on parole, was detained while deputies searched his vehicle, pursuant to the terms of his parole. Inside Leonard’s vehicle, deputies found more than 27 grams of methamphetamine, packaging materials, a digital scale, and a small amount of marijuana.
Deputies arrested Leonard and transported him to the Humboldt County Correctional Facility. Leonard was booked Possession of a Controlled Substance, the Transport or Sale of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of Marijuana, and Violation of Parole. Leonard is not eligible to post bail due to his parole status. He is expected to be arraigned on Friday.
