The Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office assisted by the State Department of Justice Campaign Against Marijuana Planting (C.A.M.P.) eradicated 16,500 marijuana plants from Humboldt County, from July 31 through August 3. The marijuana gardens were eradicated from the following areas: Phillipsville, Garberville, Ettersburg, and off United States Forest Service Route 1.
There were no arrest made and the cases are still under investigation. The marijuana plants at harvest time would have had a street value of approximately $50 million.
