On 02-06-2006 Federal Drug Enforcement Administration Agents served a federal search warrant on a parcel of property located in the Miranda area of southern Humboldt County. Agents seized 4,642 marijuana plants from a large commercial indoor marijuana growing operation located on the property. Agents seized a 150 k/w diesel generator that was supplying electrical power to the indoor marijuana growing operation. When agents served the federal search warrant in February, one male suspect fled the scene in his pickup truck, which was later recovered.
Through their continued investigation since February, Federal Drug Enforcement Administration Agents identified the suspect, who fled the scene in his vehicle. That suspect was identified as Harold Dean Harrison age 48 from the Garberville area. Harold Harrison was indicted federally last week out of Federal Court in San Francisco for the manufacturing and distributing of marijuana for sales.
On 11-02-2006 at 0900 hours the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office, Humboldt County Drug Task and the Federal Bureau of Investigation assisted the Federal Drug Enforcement Administration in locating and arresting Harrison on the federal warrant. Harold Harrison was located inside of a residence in the Melody trailer park in Redway.
Harold Harrison was taken into custody without incident. DEA Agents then transported Harrison to San Francisco where he is being held without bail.
