Humboldt County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a Eureka man Friday night after finding him in possession of more than thirteen grams of suspected methamphetamine. At about 10:15 p.m. Friday, deputies stopped a vehicle being driven by Lysa Stachel for vehicle code violations. Stachel was arrested for displaying false evidence of registration, driving without a license, and expired registration. The passenger in the vehicle, Aaron Jerome Wilson, 39 of Eureka, was discovered to have a warrant. After deputies arrested Wilson, they searched the vehicle prior to having it towed. Deputies determined that, although Stachel was driving the vehicle, Wilson was the owner. During the search of the vehicle deputies found 13.8 grams of methamphetamine, 46.4 grams of marijuana, a digital scale, and .270-caliber ammunition.
Wilson was transported to the Humboldt County Correctional Facility and booked for possession of a controlled substance for sales, transportation of a controlled substance, and possession of ammunition by a person prohibited from having a firearm. His bail was set at $25,000. Wilson posted bail this morning; he is scheduled to be arraigned on February 06, 2007.
