Humboldt County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested a Hoopa woman for attempted murder last night after her boyfriend was transported to a local hospital with multiple stab wounds.
At about 5:45 p.m. last evening, deputies received a report that a man had been stabbed multiple times with a knife and was with ambulance personnel in Hoopa. Deputies responded and met with the victim, Larry Sidney Tracy, 42 of Hoopa. Deputies spoke with Mr. Tracy who was then transported an area hospital. Sheriff’s Deputies then drove to a residence on Tish Tang Road in Hoopa and found Mr. Tracy’s girlfriend Frances Ellen Ferris, 32, at the home. Ferris was arrested, transported to the Humboldt County Correctional Facility, and booked for attempted murder. Her bail has been set at $500,000 and she is expected to be arraigned by Tuesday. Mr. Tracy remains hospitalized in stable condition.
