The Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office with the assistance of CAMP, Humboldt County Drug Task Force, Eureka Police Department, Federal Drug Enforcement Administration, United States Forest Service, Bureau of Land Management eradicated approximately 34,000 marijuana plants from Monday, September 17th through Thursday, September 20th. The marijuana plants were eradicated in the following locations in Humboldt County: Eel Rock, McCann, Redwood Valley, Willow Creek, Ettersburg and Off United States Forest Service Route 1. Officers Served 8 search warrants, arrested three subjects, seized 25 guns, and $21,000 dollars in cash through their investigations.
The Humboldt County Sheriff’s with the assistance of CAMP have now eradicated over 200,000 marijuana plants this summer. The Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office eradicated approximately 100,000 marijuana plants before CAMP arrived in Humboldt County. Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office has eradicated over 300,000 marijuana plants since January of this year.
In 2006 the Humboldt County Sheriff’s eradicated a total of 103,00 marijuana plants for the entire year.
