The Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office is looking for a woman who was reported missing after she failed to show up at her daughter’s home in Klamath. Susan Leigh Snider, 45, called her daughter sometime between 6:30 and 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, April1 and said she was at Murray Road and U.S. Highway 101. Ms. Snider said she planned to hitchhike from McKinleyville to her daughter’s home in Klamath. She has not been seen since.
The investigation revealed that Ms. Snider had spent the day in Willow Creek and then traveled to Arcata. Next she hitchhiked to McKinleyville where she called her daughter. That was the last contact anyone has had with her.
Ms. Snider is a white female adult, 5’6” tall, weighing about 130 pounds. She has red hair, a light complexion, but her eye color is unknown. It is unknown what clothing she was wearing but she may be in possession of a large red duffel bag.
Anyone with any information about Susan Snider should call Sgt. Wayne Hanson at (707) 268-3639.
