Humboldt County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a reported home invasion robbery in Garberville early yesterday morning. At about 3:30 a.m. Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a residence on the 600 block of Fir Street where the occupants said as many as three men had forced entry into their house. The three occupants of the house stated that two men entered the house and at least one of the suspects brandished a handgun. The two suspects demanded money and threatened to kill the residents. One of the occupants was able to escape through a bedroom window and call 911. Inside the house one of the two remaining occupants was bound with duct tape and struck in the face. Eventually the suspects took a small, unknown amount of concentrated cannabis and loose marijuana and they fled on foot. Sheriff’s Deputies and CHP Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the suspects.
One suspect is described as a black male adult, with a “skinny” face, dress all in black, wearing a coat with a fir-line hood.
The second suspect is described only as a black male adult with new white tennis shoes.
The victims believe there may have been a third suspect, but were unable to provide a description.
Anyone with information about this case should call the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office at (707) 445-7251.
