Case No#: 200807247
Released By: Brenda Godsey

Location: McKinleyville

The Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office is asking for help from the public in locating a McKinleyville man wanted for assaulting a local toddler. Sheriff’s Deputies are looking for Fernando Joel Calderon who is the biological father of the child. Deputies were alerted to the abuse earlier this week when family members became alarmed at the child’s condition after she returned from an unsupervised visit with Calderon. The victim’s injuries required medical treatment. The Sheriff’s Office has requested an arrest warrant be issued for Calderon for charges that include torture and inflicting pain upon a child (child abuse).

Calderon is a 26-year-old Hispanic male adult with black hair and brown eyes. He is 5’7” tall and weighs approximately 180 pounds.

Calderon has connections to addresses in McKinleyville, Eureka, and Fortuna. Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Fernando Calderon should call the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office at (707) 445-7251.
