Saturday morning Humboldt County Sheriff’s Detectives arrested the second of two suspects still wanted in connection with the murder of Jerry George. Jan David-Devore, 46 of Arcata, contacted the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office and made arrangements to surrender herself. At about 9:00 a.m., a Sheriff’s Detective, a US Deputy Marshall, and Arcata Police Officers arrived at a residence on the 1600 block of 12th Street in Arcata and arrested David-Devore without incident.
Sheriff’s Detectives had obtained a $500,000 arrest warrant for David-Devore for conspiracy, accessory, and the destruction of evidence. Last Friday, Kenneth Loren Johnson was also arrested and booked for the same charges related to the murder of Jerry George.
