Subject: Attempted Homicide Update

As first reported on August 22, 2003 a Fresno man was shot during a carjacking. The victim was briefly hospitalized but has since been released.
Upon further investigation, sheriff’s deputies have identified a suspect in the shooting. An arrest warrant with a one million dollars bail has been issued for Blake Edward Chase, 20, who is a transient but is known to spend time in Eureka, Westhaven, and Honeydew. Chase is a white male who is 6’ 3” tall and weighs 240 pounds. He has a shaved head and a stubble beard. The stolen car is a 2003 white 4-door Hyundai Sonata, California license plate number 5CBA044.
Chase is considered armed and dangerous.
