The Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office, assisted by personnel from the Campaign Against Marijuana Planting, has seized more than 10,000 marijuana plants in Humboldt County since the beginning of this year’s CAMP season. The CAMP season typically runs from the beginning of August through the end of September. Sgt. Wayne Hanson of the Sheriff’s Drug Enforcement Unit said this is an average marijuana seizure year.
Since January of this year, the Sheriff’s Office has seized more than 45,000 marijuana plants with an estimated street value of nearly $70,000,000.
