On 11-29-2011, approximately 10:30 p.m., Humboldt County Sheriff’s deputies working in the Willow Creek area stopped a White Chevy pickup truck for a traffic violation in the 39000 block of Highway 299. When the deputies contacted the driver she identified herself as Stacy Lavern Fry, 26 years old from Salyer.
The deputies ran warrant check on Fry which revealed she had a felony failure to appear warrant out of Trinity County. When the deputies attempted to arrest Fry on the warrant she attempted to run away from the deputies, who caught her. They located three bags of methamphetamine in her pockets weighing approximately .5 grams each. The deputies also located a 12” long dagger hidden near the driver’s seat.
Fry was booked into the Humboldt County Correctional Facility for possession of methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine for sale, transportation of methamphetamine, possession of a dirk or dagger, and resisting arrest. Her bail was set at $50,000.00.
