Two deputies were dispatched to the area to look for the suspect. The victim told the deputies the suspect approached her, opened a pill bottle and offered her Vicodin. When she declined the suspect walked away and began urinating in the public hallway in front of several area businesses and made verbal threats directed towards the victim.
Deputies began searching the area for the suspect and located him pounding on the door of a nearby residence in the 700 block of Redwood Drive. The deputy located the male in the living room of the residence yelling and shouting. He was taken into custody. An adult female who also lived at the residence stated she too did not know the suspect or why he entered their home other than to escape the deputy.
The suspect was identified as Robert Scott Cree, 56 years old from Garberville, California. Deputies located Vicodin, and another prescription drug in his possession. He was arrested for sales or offering of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of a prescribed drug without a prescription and public intoxication.
